Additional 101 More Things to do with a Slow Cooker Information

Autumn Brew, Fall Harvest Chowder, warm Honey Wheat Bread...fall is coming, and there's no better time to plug in that amazing kitchen contraption known as the slow cooker. The slow cooker can do what no oven or stopetop burner can--cook flavorful and healthy food while its owner goes blissfully about the business of the day.

What Customers Say About 101 More Things to do with a Slow Cooker:

It didn't disappoint. The recipes are simple and delicious. I bought this after I bought the original 101 Things to do with a Crockpot. I loved the first one and I love this one.

I've gotten a lot of good recipes from this book.the ingredient lists are everyday foods, the recipes have univesal appeal, and they taste great.

However my wife and I are disappointed with the recipes, as many of them rely on processed foods, canned soups, and powdered mixes for flavor. Although we only tried one recipe for pasta with ground beef (and actually our one-year old liked it) I'm not sure we will make another recipe from this book. This is a cute idea for a book, and its done with a nice format and layout. Some also require things to be cooked separately before being added to the pot, and/or use things like canned beans, and are not taking advantage of the crock pot cooking method in my opinion.

The recipes are easy and they have ingredients that I have in my pantry and I don't have to buy spices that I will only use once. I love my crock pot and I love this and her other slow cooker cook book. I can not give enough praise to her simple family friendly recipes.

I've only tried about 5-6 recipes, but they've all been absolutely delicious (if not in need of just a little more seasoning. What a great book and a novel idea. my family likes it spicy).Thanks.
